Nos sentimos orgullosos que hayan elegido nuestra institución para formar el futuro de Honduras, es por eso que con esfuerzo, amor y dedicación los docentes de Nashville School en el nivel de Pre-Básica, en cada actividad realizada buscan cumplir no sólo con las expectativas académicas propuestas para alcanzar las metas propias de su nivel, sino también lograr que nuestros estudiantes consigan desarrollarse de manera en que ellos expresen seguridad y confianza en sí mismos, que la formación que reciben les permita e incite a practicar valores como pieza principal en su crecimiento como persona.

En NST nos preocupamos porque nuestros estudiantes logren un desarrollo integral a través de un ambiente agradable en donde el docente y los Padres de Familia juegan un papel muy importante para lograr los objetivos en el proceso Enseñanza-Aprendizaje.

Durante el período de educación Pre- Básica, nuestros estudiantes a través de juegos aprenden destrezas que no solamente le permitirán desenvolverse en este nivel, el estímulo que ellos reciben les concede las habilidades necesarias para utilizar sus conocimientos y aprender a resolver problemas de la vida cotidiana.

Los niños(as) entre 1 a 6 años desarrollan habilidades y destrezas que le ayudaran a lo largo de toda su vida.

Welcome everyone to the great Preschool family of Nashville School Tegucigalpa.  

We are proud that you have chosen our institution to build the future of Honduras, this is why Preschool’s teachers at Nashville School work with love effort and dedication to accomplish the aims we have planned to achieve all the academic expectations that are requested at this level. At Nashville School we are concerned that our students achieve integral development through a pleasant environment where the teacher and parents play a very important role in the objectives of the Teaching-Learning process.

In Preschool, our students learn through games, and acquire the basic skills needed for development at this level. The stimulus they receive gives them the necessary skills to use their knowledge properly to solve problems of daily life.

Nursery

En nuestra institución nuestro compromiso es grande por lo que desde el primer ciclo de Pre Básica nos preocupamos para que nuestros alumnos de Nursery logren desarrollar independencia, autoconocimiento, seguimiento de instrucciones, enriquecimiento de lenguaje en donde adquieren nuevas palabras en su lengua materna y aprenden nuevo vocabulario en la lengua extranjera (ingles).

       En cuanto a lo académico en el área de:

MATEMÁTICAS:                                                                                                                                  

  • Reconocen colores primarios y secundarios.                                                                          
  • Identifican figuras geométricas.
  • Cuentan en secuencia del 1 al 20 y asocian el número con la cantidad.
  • Identifican y agrupan objetos según sus características.                  

LECTO-ESCRITURA:                                                                                                                     

  • Trazan diferentes líneas siguiendo el patrón.
  • Trazo de figuras geométricas.  

DESARROLLO SOCIO EMOCIONAL:

  • Realizan actividades grupales e individuales.                                                                                                                                  
  • Comparten con sus compañeros, esperan su turno.                      

DESARROLLO DEL LENGUAJE:

  • Relatan cuentos a partir de imágenes.                                                                                            
  • Cantan canciones, cuentan cuentos.                                                                                                                                              
  • Aprenden vocabulario básico (comandos)                                                                                                              
  • Nombre y sonido de las letras del abecedario, así como también el vocabulario por cada letra.                                                                                            

MOTOR FINO:

MOTOR GRUESO:

Se desarrolla a través de los:

Movimientos Locomotores: tales como caminar, correr (de frente, espalda y lateral) saltar (1 y 2 pies), galopar y arrastrarse (sentado, acostado).                                                                           

Movimientos No Locomotores: girar de pie, rodar (con su cuerpo), halar, empujar, levantar (su propio cuerpo y objetos), equilibrar (su propio cuerpo y objetos).                                             

Habilidades Manipulativas: Rodar objetos, lanzar, atrapar, rebotar, golpear, patear, driblar.

In Nashville School, our commitment is big starting at the first level of Preschool. At the nursery level students receive independence, self-knowledge, and language enrichment. They will acquire vocabulary in Spanish and in English. They also learn to take and follow instructions.

In the academic areas they learn:

  • Recognize primary and secondary colors                   
  • Identify basic geometric shapes
  • Count in sequence from 1 to 20 and associate the number with the quantity
  • Identify and group objects according to their characteristics

EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT:                       

  • Work in groups and individually

  • Retell stories related with the pictures
  • Sing songs and tell stories

Pre-Kinder

En nuestro segundo ciclo de Pre Básica los alumnos logran desarrollar independencia, autoconocimiento, seguimiento de instrucciones, enriquecimiento de lenguaje en donde adquieren nuevas palabras en su lengua materna y aprenden nuevo vocabulario en la lengua extranjera (ingles).
En cuanto a lo académico en el área de:

MATEMÁTICAS:
• Reconocen colores, figuras geométricas y tamaños.
• Cuentan del 1 al 50, reconocen los números y la cantidad que corresponde a cada uno.

LECTO-ESCRITURA:
• Sostener el lápiz de manera correcta.
• Trazan líneas de diferentes formas siguiendo el patrón.
• Empiezan a entender que el proceso de escritura se realiza de izquierda a derecha.
• Trazan letras siguiendo patrones.
• Son capaces de escribir su primer nombre.

DESARROLLO SOCIO EMOCIONAL:
• Comparten, cooperan con sus compañeros, esperan su turno.

DESARROLLO DEL LENGUAJE:
• Cantan canciones, cuentan cuentos, empiezan a hacer rimas.

DESARROLLO COGNITIVO:
• Entienden la diferencia entre la realidad y la fantasía.

HABILIDADES MOTORAS FINAS:
• Rasgan, bolean, arrugan.
• Pintan con esponja, pincel
• Sostiene el lápiz y la crayola correctamente.
• Forman una torre de bloques.
• Trabajan con plastilina para mejorar su motricidad.

MOTOR GRUESO:
Se desarrolla a través de los:

In the second level of preschool students accomplish independence, self-knowledge and language development. They will acquire vocabulary in Spanish and in English. They also learn to take and follow instructions.

Kinder

En nuestro último ciclo de Pre Básica, los estudiantes se preparan para el proceso de lecto-escritura tanto en nuestra lengua materna como en inglés, logrando así resultados satisfactorios en el siguiente nivel de Primer Grado.

FONETICA:

  • En la clase de fonética nuestros estudiantes aprenderán sobre la relación entre grafema y fonema, desarrollando la conciencia fonológica, iniciando de esta forma el proceso de lecto- escritura de una manera fácil y rápida permitiéndoles ampliar su vocabulario y aprender a deletrear.

INGLES:

  • Los contenidos de la clase de English les permitirán crear una relación con su entorno, conocer su cuerpo y el ambiente que los rodea, así podrá seguir instrucciones, aprenderán frases gramaticales para expresar sus necesidades y establecer conversaciones.

MATEMATICAS:

  • Reconocen figuras geométricas y colores, habilidades que nos permitirán crear patrones, distinguir colores y formas.
  • Estudian las cantidades y números, agrupan objetos de acuerdo a la cantidad pedida, identifican conceptos básicos como poco y mucho, que les permita desarrollar el pensamiento lógico –matemático para sumar y restar números del uno al 9 y por último solucionar problemas verbales.

LENGUAGE:

  • En la clase de lenguaje los niños aprenden las bases gramaticales para escribir y leer oraciones en inglés, conociendo las partes del discurso, partiendo desde el aprendizaje de las palabras de uso frecuente en inglés hasta lograr formar oraciones por si solos.

PRE ESCRITURA:

  • Aprenden a realizar los primeros trazos, desde puntitos hasta llegar a escribir correctamente las letras y números.

 

LECTURA:

  • Las clases de fonética y lenguaje son de gran importancia para entrar al mundo de la lectura, ya que los estudiantes conocen el vocabulario y facilita dicho proceso, se identifican personajes y situaciones, aprenden a predecir lo que sucederá en la historia.

 

 MOTOR FINO :

  • La motricidad fina se desarrolla cuando el alumno(a) comienza a jugar con sus manos, haciendo ejercicios de abrir y cerrarlas, posteriormente se trabaja con plastilina, y aprenden a rasgar papel, trocear, estrujar y bolear, lo que les permitirá hacer uso correcto de la pinza, que es formada por el dedo pulgar y el dedo índice haciendo más fácil el proceso para coger de manera correcta el lápiz.                                                                                                                    
  • Aprenden a conocer límites y la ubicación en el espacio coloreando dentro de la línea y cortando y pegando donde se indica.

MOTOR GRUESO:    

Se desarrolla a través de los:                                                                                                                                                                 Movimientos Locomotores: Tales como caminar, correr (de frente, espalda y lateral) saltar (1 y 2 pies), galopar y arrastrarse (sentado, acostado).

ESPAÑOL:      

  • Empiezan a leer palabras simples y a procesar las relaciones entre las letras y su sonido.
  • Identifican los sonidos inicial, final y medio de palabras como gato, pato.
  • Responden a preguntas básicas sobre lo que han leído ya sea solo o con ayuda.
  • Pronuncian palabras nuevas fonética y palabras que suenan parecido.  
  • A través de imágenes relatan historias cortas.
  • Participan en juegos con rimas,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

 

In our last level of preschool, students are prepared for the process of reading and writing in both languages, Spanish and English, in order to get satisfactory results for first grade.

PHONICS:

  • In Phonics class our students will learn about the relationship between grapheme and phoneme, developing phonological awareness, beginning the process of reading and writing in an easy and fast way allowing them to expand their vocabulary and learn to spell.

 

ENGLISH:  

  • The topics in English class lets them create a relationship with their environment, know their body and the environment that surrounds them.
  • They can follow instructions, learn grammatical phrases to express their needs and establish conversations.

 

MATH:

  • Recognize geometric shapes and colors, skills that allow students to create patterns and distinguish colors and shapes.
  • They study quantities and numbers, group objects according to the quantity requested, identify basic concepts such as “little” and “a lot” that allow them to develop logical-mathematical thinking to add and subtract numbers from one to nine and finally to solve verbal problems.

 

LANGUAGE:                                                                   

  • In Language class the children learn the grammatical bases to read and write sentences in English.
  • Identify the parts of the speech, and the learning of the high frequency words.

PRE-WRITING:

  • Learn how to make tracings from dots writing letters correctly

 

READING:                                    

  • Phonics and language classes are very important in order to start the reading process. Students learn vocabulary to make the process easier, they identify characters and situations, and learn to predict what will happen in the story.

FINE MOTOR SKILLS:

  • Fine motor skills are developed when the student begins to play with their hands, doing open and closed exercises
  • They work with playdough, and they learn to tear, cut, squeeze and roll paper, learning these techniques allow them to use the clamp, which is formed by the thumb and index finger making the process easier to hold the pencil correctly
  • They learn boundaries and allocation of space by coloring inside the line and cutting and pasting where it is indicated

 GROSS MOTOR:

  • Participate in games with rhymes
